A NYC nonfiction childrens book publisher seeks a full-time Production Editor for its Young Adult Division. Must have a minimum of 6 months in publishing experience working with book layout. Must be Mac-literate and extremely proficient in Quark, InDesign. This is not a design position (no designing required), but you must have a working knowledge and understanding of layout and type, along with a thorough knowledge of print production. This position requires editorial changes to layout, plus additional page making. Must be highly organized and detail oriented and be able to work in a very fast paced environment and on many books simultaneously within a very tight schedule.
